Stays In wanted to grow their short-term rental management portfolio but were unsure which channel, Google Ads or Paid Social, would deliver the best ROI. We ran a head-to-head test to find the answer.
The Challenge
Stays In wanted to grow their property management portfolio by attracting property owners, but did not know whether Google Search Ads or Paid Social would deliver the best ROI. They needed to test both channels under a fixed budget while keeping tracking accurate and cost per lead low.
The Solution
We ran a controlled PPC split test across Google Search Ads and Meta (Facebook & Instagram). We optimised Google keywords for high-intent property management searches and created custom, mobile-first social ad assets targeting property owners, analysing leads and CPA metrics for each channel.
The Results
Paid Social was the clear winner, generating 25 times more leads than Google Ads. While Google CPCs exceeded 30 pounds due to high competition, the Meta campaigns drove qualified owner inquiries for a fraction of the cost, establishing a scalable client acquisition channel.
