How ATV Safari Gabrovo moved from a visually functional website that appeared almost blank to search engines to a technically accessible, multilingual and search-optimised booking platform capable of attracting organic visitors across different markets.
The Challenge
ATV Safari Gabrovo offers guided ATV experiences and outdoor adventures in and around Gabrovo, Bulgaria.
The business already had a modern website built with Next.js and a custom backend booking engine. Visitors could explore the available experiences, review information and complete the booking journey online.
From a user-facing perspective, the website appeared to contain the information needed to understand and book an ATV experience. From a search engine’s perspective, however, the situation was very different.
When we reviewed the website, much of its important content was not being delivered in a way that Google and other search engines could reliably discover, understand and index. The website was effectively being interpreted as a near-blank page with very limited keyword relevance.
This meant the business had invested in a modern booking platform but was not receiving the full organic-search value from its content, services or multilingual capabilities.
The primary challenges included:
The Solution
We carried out a full technical and SEO review of the Next.js platform, identifying how content was generated, rendered, translated and delivered to search engines.
1. Technical SEO and Rendering Audit
We reviewed server-rendered page output, client-side components, backend content delivery, language selection, booking-engine integration, metadata generation, crawl paths, internal links, canonical tags, sitemap coverage, and search-engine accessibility.
2. Making Core Content Visible to Search Engines
We restructured the delivery of important page content so it could be understood from the initial rendered output in crawlable HTML.
3. Dedicated Multilingual Pages
We introduced dedicated pages and URLs for each supported language so every version could exist as an independent, crawlable search result.
4. International SEO Structure
We improved the relationships between language versions using canonical tags, hreflang implementation, and structured URL patterns.
5. Dedicated SEO Landing Pages
We created dedicated landing pages around specific experiences, outdoor activities, group packages, and local tourism queries in Gabrovo.
6. Keyword and Content Optimisation
We reviewed and optimised the copy across key pages to communicate experience details, locations, expectations, and clear booking calls to action.
7. Page Titles and Metadata
We introduced page-level metadata including descriptive titles, meta descriptions, social metadata, and canonical tags.
8. Heading and Page Hierarchy
We revised the page structure to create a clean heading hierarchy for human readers and search engines.
9. Internal Linking Improvements
We improved contextual internal links between the homepage, experience pages, language versions, and landing pages.
10. XML Sitemap and Indexing Controls
We updated the sitemap structure to accurately list all indexable language-specific and experience pages.
11. Booking Engine Preservation
We preserved the custom backend booking engine while creating accessible, search-optimised entry points.
12. Performance Audit
We audited browser rendering load, memory usage, and mobile responsiveness impacted by the animated background.
13. Removing the Resource-Heavy Background Effect
We replaced the continuous noise animation with an efficient visual treatment, drastically reducing GPU and mobile rendering overhead.
14. Mobile Performance Optimisation
We refined responsive layouts, media files, and JS execution for fast loading on mobile devices.
15. Image and Asset Optimisation
We compressed and resized visual assets to deliver high-quality images without compromising page speed.
16. Improved Search and Booking Journey
We connected search-focused landing pages directly to the reservation engine.
17. Scalable Page Architecture
We built a maintainable Next.js page structure allowing easy addition of new tours, routes, languages, and seasonal guides.
The Results
The project transformed ATV Safari Gabrovo from a website with significant visibility barriers into a more accessible, indexable and search-focused experience platform.
Following the technical and content improvements, the website experienced a meaningful increase in organic traffic and gained a stronger foundation for continued search growth.
Key outcomes include:
- Search-Accessible Website Content: Important copy is now presented in a format that search engines can crawl, understand and index.
- Resolved Blank-Page Interpretation: The website no longer depends on search engines reconstructing its core meaning entirely through client-side behaviour.
- Indexable Language Versions: Translated content now exists on dedicated pages with separate URLs and metadata.
- Improved International Visibility: Language relationships and URL structures give the website a stronger opportunity to appear for searches in multiple markets.
- Expanded Search Coverage: Dedicated landing pages allow the business to target specific experiences, locations and visitor interests.
- Stronger Keyword Relevance: Page content, headings and metadata now communicate the business’s services and location more clearly.
- Meaningful Organic Traffic Growth: The website recorded a noticeable improvement in organic visibility and search-driven visits following the remediation work.
- Improved Page Performance: Removing the resource-heavy noise background reduced unnecessary rendering demands.
- Better Mobile Experience: Visitors using mobile devices can access content and booking actions through a faster and more stable interface.
- More Efficient Asset Delivery: Images and visual elements were optimised to preserve quality while reducing unnecessary page weight.
- Clearer Booking Journey: Search-focused pages now connect visitors more directly with the custom experience booking engine.
- Improved Technical Foundations: Metadata, canonical configuration, internal links and sitemap coverage provide a more reliable SEO structure.
- Scalable Multilingual Platform: Additional languages and experiences can be introduced through standalone, indexable pages.
- Preserved Custom Functionality: The bespoke backend booking experience remained intact while the public website became substantially more search-friendly.
ATV Safari Gabrovo now has a website that functions effectively for both audiences it needs to serve: visitors looking for an outdoor adventure and search engines evaluating whether the website is relevant to their query.
