Search intent: the “why” behind the query

Search intent is the user’s goal when they search: learn, compare, buy, or navigate to a specific brand. Matching intent is the foundation of both SEO and PPC. If your page doesn’t satisfy the intent, rankings and conversion will both suffer.

Common intent categories
