A Google Ads metric showing the percentage of possible clicks your ads received compared to the total available in the market.

Click share: how many clicks you’re winning

Click share is the proportion of available clicks you receive compared to competitors for the same set of searches. It’s a useful visibility metric because it considers both impressions and click behaviour - not just where you rank or how often you show.

What affects click share

  • Impression share (how often you appear)
  • Ad/organic attractiveness (CTR, messaging, trust signals)
  • SERP layout changes (maps, shopping, AI modules)

If click share is falling, the fix is usually a mix of better visibility (coverage) and better conversion on the SERP (CTR).
